‘the man in the hat’

Filmed in south of france. how to design a road film literally on the road. the answer was to utilise the journey through france, drive our way around brocantes and flea markets to prop the entire film. EVERYTHING WAS sourced locally WHICH created an authentic vision, WE donated back to the community at the end and returned back to the uk on Le Shuttle in the empty van we started our journey with [bar a few mementos and luggage].

‘the war below’

having the tunnels built was crucial to THE making OF this film, imperative to IT’S visual narrative. I SPENT A LOT OF TIME researching construction methods and use of materials within OUR budget constraints. THE industry is moving in the right direction in terms of sustainability in construction but there is still a way to go until ALL THE BOXES ARE TICKED.

OUR AIM WAS TO recyclE the set by finding another use AT THE END OF FILMING, DELIGHTED TO SAY the tunnels found a new owner WHO GAVE THEM A WHOLE new EXISTENCE!
